Since the beginning of the year 2020, the airport sector has undergone changes due to the coronavirus, due to the fact that its operations have been significantly affected, either by the economic crisis they are facing or by the adjustments they must make to operate safely and prevent further spread of the virus among passengers boarding an airplane.
Previously, the leaders of this sector were evaluating the massive campaign that existed to maximize capacity on board, that is, it was about optimizing the spaces inside an airplane so that as many people as possible could enter and thus give greater profitability to the item; However, now that will have to change because they must first think about the health of the passengers.

Changes from the economic point of view
Regarding the economic point, it has been mentioned in the article: Covid-19 Measures may Bankrupt Multiple Airlines as the coronavirus decrees are currently causing a great monetary loss to airlines and airport personnel; however, there will also be modifications in the future that will seek to counter this crisis.
That is why the executive director of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Alexander de Juniac commented in a televised interview that ticket prices will increase in the future by 50% in value to 100%, due to the fact that the capacity of the planes will be less and the airlines will seek to stay afloat.
Measures to be followed when boarding an airplane
Currently, airlines are modifying their operations and transport units, as mentioned in the article: Several commercial airlines make modifications from passenger planes to cargo aircraft in order to continue generating income and thus be able to maintain the employment of their workers.
Although some companies have managed to continue operating, there are some that have not, and that is why they are already evaluating what modifications they will make when the restrictions on free transit between countries are removed. One of the most talked about measures is that the seats in the center can be left empty, although it is still being evaluated because it could cause loss of money.
On the other hand, airlines such as Jet Blue, Air Canana, Lufthansa and Korean Air have already begun to make changes, in this case, they are informed that the masks inside their aircraft will be mandatory. Likewise, Emirates has indicated that handbags are limited to only the essentials, so there will be a change in the weight and allowed products.
At the same time, several airlines have exposed other modifications that are being carried out in order to protect the health of the crew and passengers, for example, the magazines that were inside the seat pockets have been removed to avoid infection. In addition, meals will be distributed in boxes to avoid contact.
For the future they believe that a barrier could be placed between the existing seats and thus increase the isolation, also, the designers of aircraft believe that the intermediate seat could be rotated backwards to avoid contact between passengers. On the other hand, Barry Diller, president of Expedia, believes that flying and physical distancing are incompatible, that moving the seat is an absurd idea, and that social distancing in these types of places is a myth.
