Previously, it has been exposed about the restriction measures that various governments have chosen worldwide to face the Covid-19 pandemic, there are many changes that these measures have caused in the airport world, in fact, some have benefited due to the increase in its services and others not so much because its operations have decreased significantly.

As we have been able to mention in the article Covid-19 Measures may Bankrupt Multiple Airlines, most countries have decreed restrictions on free transit, which is why they have closed their borders and have stopped indefinitely the commercial use of airports, which has caused many people to be unable to return to the country where they reside.

Airport behavior towards measures

Countries such as Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, among others, after decreeing a state of emergency due to the coronavirus, also decided to close their commercial airport operations, that is, the activities of regular flights were suspended, entry is not allowed or departure of people by that means. However, some countries have still maintained private flights to receive citizens who have stayed in other countries, these people go through a very firm evaluation process and when they arrive in the country they are taken to specialized places to observe their health for 15 days and avoid they can infect others, if they are carriers of the virus.

On another idea, in the case of Ecuador, the main airport located in Quito called Mariscal Sucre International open for the flight, they report that its operations are active, especially for humanitarian flights in which foreigners will return to their country, this, It is very different from what happens in most other airports in the region as we have previously commented.

In that country, tourists continue to arrive with sanitary controls previously carried out, currently there are no direct flights to Ecuador from the Asian continent and from Europe they maintain direct flights from France, Spain and the Netherlands.

In this same order is Mexico, because they took time to take action on the pandemic, its current president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has played down the advice given by the World Health Organization (WHO); the Government of Nicaragua and Brazil have behaved in the same way, who have maintained massive concentrations and free transit on their borders; The Brazilian Health Minister explained in an interview that the idea of limiting the entry of foreigners as a security measure was discarded.
